PATHS-UP Inclusivity Statement

June 12, 2020

PATHS-UP is committed to a culture of inclusivity, and all of our members reject and condemn all forms of racism, discrimination, brutality and violence. As an NSF Engineering Research Center whose focus is to develop health technologies and systems for underserved and underrepresented populations, we actively promote diversity and inclusion within our field not limited to race, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation. Thus, we are united in our condemnation of racism and any form of injustice. As Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”.

If any PATHS-UP member wishes to discuss anything regarding inclusivity within PATHS-UP, especially anything contrary to this statement that you have experienced, you are encouraged to contact the Center Director, Deputy Director, or any of the Diversity and Inclusion mentors.  Note, you can contact the mentors from any of the four institutions no matter which institution is your home institution.

Please visit our resource page for information on access to services at each institution.
