The PATHS-UP team is happy to announce the following recipients of the Seed Funding awards. The awardees are not listed in any particular order.
For the faculty awards of $25,000 each were granted to the following:
1.) Dr. Joshua D. Hutcheson from Florida International University for research in Development of a Biosensing Platform for Vascular Calcification
2.) Dr. Limei Tian from Texas A&M University for research in Plasmonic Biochip for Rapid Detection of Myocardial Infarction
3.) Dr. Sam Emaminejad from University of California, Los Angeles for research in A Wearable Non-Invasive Sweat Glucose Analysis Platform for General Population Monitoring
For the students awards of $5,000 each were granted to the following:
1.) Lin Tong from Florida International University for research in Coil Integrated magnetic nanoparticles (MNP’s) conjugation based universal biomarker detection microfluidic platform
2.) Dandan Tu from Texas A&M University for research in Low-cost and high-performance technologies for multiplex detection of cardiovascular biomarkers
3.) Calvin Brown from the University of California, Los Angeles for research in Touchless Blood Pressure Monitoring
